Data Deletion Instructions

Desked.ai is an AI chatbot management platform used by businesses (“Clients”) to operate automated conversations with their customers (“End Users”) across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger. This page explains how to request deletion of personal data held by Desked.ai.

Because Desked.ai acts as a data processor on behalf of its Clients, the route for requesting deletion depends on whether you are an End User who messaged a business using our Platform, or a Client who operates a Desked.ai account.

If you interacted with a business's AI chatbot on WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook Messenger and want your conversation data deleted, please contact that business directly. They are the data controller and hold the authority to delete your records from our Platform.

If you are unable to reach the business, or if you believe your data is being retained in violation of applicable law, you may email us at privacy@desked.ai with:

• The phone number or social-media handle you used
• The approximate date(s) of your conversation
• The name of the business you were chatting with (if known)

We will forward your request to the relevant Client and confirm completion within 30 days.

Clients can delete End User records directly from the Desked.ai dashboard:

1. Sign in at app.desked.ai/sign-in
2. Open Customers → select the customer record
3. Click Delete customer to remove their profile, messages, and CRM entries

To delete your entire Desked.ai account (which removes all Client configuration, connected channels, and associated End User records), email privacy@desked.ai from your account's admin email address. We will confirm account deletion within 30 days.

• Contact identifiers (phone number, social handle, name)
• All stored conversation messages and metadata
• AI-derived data (summaries, labels, intent classifications)
• CRM records tied to the deleted identity

Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot be linked back to an individual may be retained. Backups containing the deleted data are purged on their standard rolling retention schedule (maximum 30 days).

Message data ingested via the WhatsApp Business Platform Cloud API, Instagram Graph API, and Messenger Platform is stored for a maximum of 30 days in line with Meta's Developer Data Use Policy. You may additionally revoke access to Desked.ai from your Facebook or Instagram account settings at any time; this immediately stops new data ingestion, and we purge the associated records within 30 days.
